Deanne Nesty, B.A., Clinical Care Cooridinator

Deanne serves as the Clinical Care Coordinator at Village Counseling Center, bringing more than two decades of experience in child welfare, behavioral health, case management, and residential treatment coordination. At VCC, she helps connect children and families with appropriate services, supports referral and admission processes, coordinates communication among families, clinicians, programs, and community providers, and assists with continuity of care across services.  Her role also includes supporting VCC’s grant programs, referral tracking, assessments, documentation, and follow-up with families who may be experiencing barriers to accessing or continuing services.

Before joining VCC, Deanne spent seven years with Meridian Behavioral Healthcare in Gainesville, where she participated on the Family Services Planning Team, presented cases, and facilitated specialized treatment groups. She also served as a residential case manager, regularly visiting children placed in residential treatment settings to monitor their progress, communicate with treatment teams, and help ensure that ongoing needs and transitions are addressed.

Earlier in her career, Deanne managed child welfare cases in Sarasota County during Florida’s transition toward privatized child welfare services, working closely with foster care providers, adoption services, therapists, and other community partners. These experiences have given Deanne a strong understanding of the multiple systems families often must navigate and the importance of consistent communication and follow-through. She brings a practical, compassionate approach to helping children and families remain connected to needed services and supports. Outside of work, Deanne enjoys gardening, traveling, and cheering on her daughter at her swim competitions.
