Laura Tanner, B.A.
As Practice Manager at Village Counseling Center, Laura combines a lifelong passion for organization with an impressive ability to keep everyone else organized whether they particularly want to be or not. With a background spanning operations, event production, business leadership, and apparently whatever else needed doing at the time, Laura has managed everything from an Alaskan lodge to live events across the Southeast. She now brings that same calm, capable energy to keeping VCC running seamlessly, or at least making the chaos look intentional.
Laura is also a dedicated volunteer leader in personal development workshops, where she has spent years lovingly supporting people through breakthroughs, breakdowns, breakthroughs disguised as breakdowns, and the occasional completely unnecessary amount of drama. She is currently completing her training as a life coach, presumably because simply running things, helping everyone, traveling, loving the ocean, raising two sons, maintaining a marriage, and volunteering her time was not quite enough to keep her occupied.
Laura loves travel, the ocean, her family, and opportunities to remind people that there is, in fact, a plan. Her greatest accomplishments include her wonderful husband, her two adult sons, being hired at VCC and somehow continuing to love the rest of us.
