Dr. Sally Thorp, OTD, OTR/L

Sally is a licensed and registered occupational therapist with clinical experience with clients of all ages and specializing in children and teens. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and Doctorate of Occupational Therapy, both from the University of Florida. (Go Gators!) Prior to graduate school, Sally worked for nearly 20 years in early childhood education. Throughout her time there, she gained valuable experience with how to build rapport and meaningful connections with children, and how to communicate and collaborate effectively with caregivers. Sally’s approach is rooted in working together with clients and families in fun and creative ways to overcome barriers in everyday function caused by trauma and help the brain and nervous system to feel safe.

Since 2023, Sally has served as a trauma-focused occupational therapist at Village Counseling Center. She has completed MNRI courses in Postural and Dynamic Reflex Integration, Neurotactile, and Trauma and PSTD Recovery.

Outside of work, Sally enjoys gardening, nature walks, and spending time with her infant son.
